Encouraging Members to Network and Engage

The chamber runs programs and hosts events that create excellent opportunities for members to network, learn, and have fun. Below is a summary of our most popular events and programs.


Monthly Breakfast

Held the second Thursday of each month at 8 a.m. in the Chamber Meeting Room or at a local business, our monthly breakfast is a great networking opportunity. Local businesses sponsor the event. For location and sponsor, visit our Monthy NewVision Newsletter for details.

Business Workshops

Business workshops are held quarterly in partnership with Jacksonville State University in the Chamber Meeting Room. For dates and topics, visit our news section.

Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting is held in April and features a catered meal and entertainment as business members and individuals receive honors during the Chamber Annual Awards. The meeting includes a review of the annual report and program of work, presentation of new board members and executive board members. The Cherokee County Industrial Development Authority sponsors entertainment.

Leadership Cherokee

Leadership Cherokee is a seven-month leadership program to become more familiar with Cherokee County.

Youth Leadership Cherokee

Youth Leadership Cherokee is a leadership program designed for high school Juniors attending Cherokee County Schools.

Chamber Ambassador Program

Chamber Ambassadors help represent and promote the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce and promote their own business to other companies. The Ambassador Program consists of enthusiastic, outgoing professionals with diverse backgrounds who liaise between the Chamber and its members. Their duties and strengths include:

  • Possess leadership qualities and skills to promote chamber programs and initiatives
  • Commit 12 months to program participation
  • Support and actively participate in the goals and action plan set forth by the Chamber Board of Directors
  • Welcome and involve new members by encouraging participation in Chamber sponsor events
  • Attend ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, relocations, and grand openings
  • Volunteer for chamber events such as the monthly breakfast, quarterly after-hours event, quarterly business workshops, and other opportunities that arise during the year
  • Serve as mentors to newcomers to our area and participate in a quarterly newcomers reception
  • Recruit new members to the Chamber

The Ambassadors grow professionally and personally by building business relationships within the community. Getting involved with the Ambassador Program is one of the first steps in becoming more involved with the Chamber. The program is ideal for those who want to be more active in the local business environment, raise awareness of their business or organization and give back to their community.

The Ambassador Program provides opportunities to connect with local business leaders, build lasting relationships, and get an insider’s perspective of the local business community. A high level of prestige and credibility is extended through involvement with this well-respected goodwill group.
